MOVEMENT
Are you considering an exercise routine or ready to get started? Quite often we don’t start because it feels too intimidating or we don’t know where to start. You are not alone! Whether you have little experience and are inactive or have already established a routine we would like to help you take the next step. Research time and time again shows us that exercise is medicine. If exercise was a drug it would be the most cost effective and safe ways to prevent and treat many diseases. It also has positive side effects: improved mood, better sleep, and improved quality of life. For those of you that are currently not active – there is good news! You don’t need to join a gym or walk 30 minutes a day to get benefit from physical activity. Every single minute of movement offers huge rewards in reducing risk and helping one feel better. For those that are already active, we will help guide you toward new personal goals. Below you will find information for various types of physical activity followed by places and programs that are in the local Annapolis Valley region in Nova Scotia.
